At the 115th Fighter Wing, protecting the environment is one of our core values and will be a major factor in our decision making. The Wing is dedicated to continual improvement of our processes to prevent and reduce waste generation. The Wing will make every effort to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations, Executive Orders, U.S. Air Force Instructions; and support AFPD 90-8, the ESOH Policy for the Air Force.
Fighter Wing activities include operation and maintenance of F-35 Fighter Aircraft with the support of all squadrons and dedicated Airman. In all the Wing's activities we will seek to:
- Promote the conservation and sustainable use of natural and manmade materials
- Prevent pollution and minimize waste
- Build environmental risk management into all policies, programs, and missions
- Integrate environmental information into all levels of management
- Achieve continuous improvements in environmental performance over and above legal requirements
- Work in partnership with all stakeholders to promote waste reduction
Protecting human health and the environment are integral components of successfully performing military mission activities. The 115FW is committed to improving future processes, cost-effectively restoring water and land resources from past practices, and seeking innovative solutions to challenges. We are committed to an open dialog with community partners and strengthening the partnerships necessary to build trust and meet common goals.
The 115th Fighter Wing consistently works to meet and/or exceed the Air National Guard's high standards. Through continued emphasis on being good stewards of the environment, we prove that we are good neighbors to the City of Madison, Dane County, and the State of Wisconsin. This environmental commitment statement is available to the public through public notices such as posting on the Wing's public website.
Environmental documents can be requested through the Civil Engineer-Installation Management Flight, Environmental Element (CEIE), located in the Civil Engineering Squadron.
