    As part of his new years resolution, Staff Sgt. Adam Pipp, an aerospace ground equipment journeyman assigned to the 115th Maintenance Group, Truax Field, Wisconsin, entered an online body transformation fitness contest in January of 2018.

    Spouses of Airmen assigned to the 115th Fighter Wing here were given the opportunity to ride along during a 128th Air Refueling Wing training mission that departed from Truax Field, Nov. 30, 2018.

  • 115th Fighter Wing receives Outstanding Unit Award

    The 115th Fighter Wing, Wisconsin Air National Guard received the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award (AFOUA) for exceptional service performed by the service members in the unit from 2015-2017. This is the tenth time that the 115th FW has received the award.

    It is hard to believe that our unit has been in the business of defending our state and nation for 50 years. But if you stop to consider all the changes that have occurred in the unit, in our country, and especially in the world, it is not surprising to see us still around. Through these changes, one element has remained the same, the 176th Fighter Squadron (FS) and in a larger form, the 115th Fighter Wing has continued to operate at its highest tempo, continuously adapting to new challenges; whether it be new aircraft, new policies, new missions, or even a new political environment.

    The 115th Fighter Wing Honorary Commanders Program is an innovative program that links military commanders with business leaders in the local community. These relationships provide the opportunity for both military and civilian professionals to gain valuable insight and perspectives of different organizations. The program also serves as a vital link for the Wis. Air National Guard to connect with and educate the public on the important missions of the 115th FW.
  • WIANG Airmen provide support, gain training at Ramstein AB

    Approximately 30 Airmen with the Wisconsin Air National Guard, assigned to the 115th Force Support Squadron here, arrived at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, Aug. 30, to provide support as part of a movement for training mission.
  • Truax Field fulfills another chapter in Arizona Airman’s life

    Truax Field has a great deal of military history; from being an Active Army Air Base in 1942, to being Truax Air Force Base from 1952 to 1967 and now being a part of the Wisconsin Air National Guard, there is a lot of monumental military culture to be found here. For Senior Master Sgt. Oscar Torres, the fuels small section shop chief at the 162nd Fighter Wing in Tucson, Arizona, Truax Field happens to be a unique part of his family history.
