115 FW hosts Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day Published May 2, 2018 By Airman Cameron R. Lewis 115th Fighter Wing Public Affairs Truax Field, Wis. -- The 115th Fighter Wing invited Airmen and their children to partake in National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day April 26, 2018 at the wing here. Approximately 100 children came to work with their parents to see what they do at the 115th FW day in, day-out. The event featured interactive displays from the 115th Civil Engineer Squadron’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Fire Station, and Heavy Equipment, as well as the 115th Security Forces Squadron and the 176th Fighter Squadron. Children were also able to participate in a crossfit class taught by Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Lemke, the 115th SFS manager, and watch an F-16 Fighting Falcon launch. They followed the crossfit class with a commander’s call and lunch in the dining facility before they were released to their parent’s sections.
