The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. There is now a fast and easy way for retired Wisconsin National Guard members to get the latest retiree news and information.

Retirees are encouraged to visit: https://service.govdelivery.com/service/multi_subscribe.html?code=WIDMA and enter e-mail address and/or cell phone number (for text messages) - Once in the system, select the box next to "Retiree News and Information" (You can also subscribe to other Wisconsin National Guard news services, such as deployment updates and the At Ease Express). Subscribers will then receive news releases, event info and other retirement info periodically.
