Entry Requirement
DHS list of all the acceptable REAL IDs that can be used to access base:

  • REAL ID-compliant driver's licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent)
    • If you are not sure if your ID complies with REAL ID, check with your state department of motor vehicles.
    • A temporary driver’s license is not an acceptable form of identification.
  • State-issued Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) or Enhanced ID (EID)
  • U.S. passport
  • U.S. passport card
  • DHS trusted traveler cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
  • U.S. Department of Defense ID, including IDs issued to dependents
  • Permanent resident card
  • An acceptable photo ID issued by a federally recognized Tribal Nation/Indian Tribe, including Enhanced Tribal Cards (ETCs)
  • HSPD-12 PIV card
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Employment Authorization Card (I-766)
  • U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential
  • Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)

Work visas and green cards are not approved REAL IDs. 

 

Know Before You Go

  1. The 115 FW/PA office manages the overall 115 FW Base Tour Program in accordance with AFI 35-101 Public Affairs Operations, Section 4F – Department of the Air Force Tours, Programs and Open Houses with the assistance of the 115 FW Advanced Programs Office.
  2. Due to manning Public Affairs led tours are limited to no more than one per week. Tours are not available Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Federal Holidays.
  3. Requests to schedule base tours outside of our predetermined public tour dates must be sent to the 115th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office no later than 20 days and no more than 6 months prior to proposed date.
  4. Base tours are limited to 10-40 attendees, who belong to community groups, schools, veteran groups, junior reserve officer training corps and other professional organizations can be added to the predetermined public tour dates or they can reach out to the public affairs office to schedule another date.
    1. ​​​Individual requests of less than 10 are accepted and added to existing public tour groups
  5. Groups must provide all required Entry Authority List information no later than seven business days prior to the event
    1. ​You may not bring any additional people for the tour unless they/you have coordinated with our office in advance. If you have other people interested in joining us for a tour, we are happy to add them to another public tour date.
  6. Tour groups must provide their own transportation to the 115 FW.
  7. People attending a PA led routine group tour must be a minimum of 10 years old due to child safety concerns.
    1. If you have children under the age of 10 interested in a tour, send us an email to ask about offered youth tour dates.
    2. All tours with children must have enough chaperones to maintain control.
  8. Unit members can sponsor tours of up to 10 individuals on their own that will not create a negative impact on the mission but must first coordinate through the 115 FW/PA office and fill out the required forms.
  9. If you are age 18 or older, you must have a valid Federal ID with you. ***If you are using a driver's license it must be a REAL ID***
    1. Real ID, Military ID, Dependent ID, Passport, and Passport Card are all acceptable
  10. This is a walking tour and will be conducted both inside and outside.  Please check the weather, dress accordingly and be prepared to walk long distances. Please reach out with any mobility concerns.
  11. Leave all cameras at home. You may bring your cell phone.  However, there are certain parts of the tour where cell phones are not allowed.  During this time, we will ask that you leave phones and all smart devices in a designated location outside of the restricted area. 
  12. All patrons and vehicles may be subject to search upon entering the base.
  13. There are some situations that may require us to cancel or reschedule a tour. In the event that we do need to cancel due to severe weather or other extenuating circumstances, we will make every effort to reschedule and let you know in advance.

 

DO:

  • Bring your Driver's License
  • Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes
  • Dress for the weather
  • Bring a water bottle and a snack if you need one
  • Bring your cell phone, but be prepared to leave it outside of restricted areas
  • Silence your Phone
  • Let us know of any mobility concerns in advance
  • Follow Instructions
  • Stay with the Group
  • Bring noise protection if you have it (we will provide if you do not have any)
  • Maintain Control of any children in your party

DO NOT:

  • DO NOT Bring your pets (Reach out in advance if you require a service animal)
  • DO NOT Bring weapons of any kind (to include knives of any size)
  • DO NOT Smoke or vape on the tour
  • DO NOT Wear sandals or open-toed shoes
  • DO NOT Bring cameras
  • DO NOT Bring large bags (bags must be smaller than 4.5" x 6.5". If you need to bring a larger bag you must reach out in advance and it will be subject to search.)
